Well what do you know? After almost four months of patiently waiting for the editors to do their thing, I decided to follow some advice from one of the threads on here and contact the editor of my category.. I had a response within 24 hours and have been listed at last!

Not only that, but the editor became a member of my site and seems more than happy to continue any conversations about my site's listing via email! If only I'd known his email address a few months ago :)

Anyone else have any luck contacting the editor(s) to get listed?

Glad to hear it worked for you. The first site I ever submitted sat for 2 months & then was added about 5 days after a polite email to the editor. I later learned that there were about 400 unreviewed sites in that cat. So it's agood thing I sent the email. I don't envy that editor, even doing a great job it would take many editors months (or more) to get to a new submission.

I have never received a response from an ODP editor - but continually and politely requesting a listing eventually has worked.

yes, I had problems trying to get a couple of site sites into the ODP. I ended up being contacted by the editor who was helpful, even to the point of him speaking with a senior editor to resolve an issue I had with a spammy competitor.

I think ODP editors are tops!
