I haven't heard much from this ODP spin-off, any editors here? Does this have a pulse?

There is a smattering of activity in the discussion forums. As to overall activity, I don't know - I'm not of a sufficient rank to know. I add about one restaurant a month, and I think I've had only 1 submission from the public in the past year.

It would be cool if it does it off the ground. There was a chick here who got comped dinners all the time for doing reviews and I thnk it was (but not positive) City Search. Whatever the deal was she had to write reviews but was not allowed to write a bad review of anywhere she went.

It will come to life (again) if Google decides to use ChefMoz data for some restaurant search.

I added abou 80 restaurants to my category and never had any public reviews or submissions.

This might be a silly question, but why not just put the restaurants into the ODP like everything else. Aren't they just regional entries? Are we going to get PlumberMoz, AutoMoz and ForumMoz too at some point? :)

There is [musicmoz.org...] -- inspired by but not actually affiliated with dmoz.org except for using some ODP data.

Oh, restaurants will be included in the regional cat of the ODP as well. But there are way more infos about a restaurant in ChefMoz than the usual link, title, and description found in an ODP entry.
