I have an ODP listing for a domain I need to transfer.

If I give the original page a redirect header, how will this affect the listing?
Will it be dropped?
Changed automatically (would be great)?
Will trigger a manual update (would be great)? Or nothing will happen?

If an editor or robozilla stumbles over it, then the listing will get changed to the new URL. You can accelerate the process (in most cases, anyway) by submitting a change request.

Click on "update URL" on the top right of the category to do this.

I did that "update URL" thing 4 months and repeated 2 months ago, to no avail.

Unfortunately, the process is not automated, so it still depends upon an editor actually logging into the category and checking the unreviewed. :(

In the meantime, the redirect will handle sending visitors to where they should be.

It will get flagged eventually. The fact that you have submitted a change request will be helpful as no one will suspect you of trying to "pull a fast one" by changing the domain after you got your listing.

I wouldn't worry about it.
