Tracert gets out and over to the US, and dies at 172.17.66.78, which I guess must be a switch in the datacentre or something, cos I can't find any domains for that IP, and WHOIS reports it as part of the IANA reserved blocks

The IP you gave is a private network IP... (like 192.168.0.x)
