Looksmart Extends listings to Ask Jeeves

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- LookSmart (Nasdaq: LOOK; ASX: LOK), the global leader in Web directories, today announced it has extended the distribution of LookListings to Ask JeevesŪ (Ask.com). Under the agreement, LookListings will now be featured in the metasearch results area of Ask Jeeves' search results. Interesting. When I checked today on my primary kws their 1st 10 results were GoTo's; then Sprinks' top 10 (paid and unpaid). If you "ask" the "where to buy widgets on-line" question you are sent to 1 page (a big corporate player in widgets -- and obviously paid), and not to another list of sites for widgets. Looks as if DH and Ask have gone to almost total PPC results. Wonder where LSmart results will display, since the above displays I mention take one whole page.
