hm, from what I can see, their db is very, very thin.

The way I see any new search engine even attempting success is as follows:

start with DMOZ - there is a lot of valuable, free content there. Give credit where credit is due.

Get your algo, db in order - and then, when you have at least a few hundred million urls in your database, proclaim yourself 'the next best thing on the web - because your results are so good, people will get excited, men will weep, and netizens will be reminded of the web back then, when all was free and spammy, er, good.

Thanks Tapolyai for bringing this engine to my attention. I like to hear about new ones.

I'm always pinning for my long lost Infoseek *sniffle*.

LOL I've been grumbling to myself for years about how things were better when search engines actually used meta-tags, and so now a retro SE comes along and I guess I'd better lend it a hand by giving it some content to serve up. I guess I'll put my time where my mouth is and submit my sites.

I guess anyone with the moxie to start a general SE in these times gets a pat on the back from me. :)
