I was messing with the new snap.com and found the UI interesting. Searching shows a split screen with familiar serps on the left and a snapshot of the site on the right. Using the left hand scroll bar allows you to review the serps.

It seemed reasonably fast to me, although i'd have to guess the load is not too high at the moment.

This type of thing was mentioned at WebmasterWorld boston by one of the major SE's (Scoble maybe? I don't recall). That's definitiely the nicest implementation I've seen though.

Yea I stumbled upon this today, was just coming here to post. (to slow)

It's a pretty nice interface and would certainly offer an alternative to the normal boring serp layout. Question is does snap still have a large enough user base for this to make a difference.

Mack.

Hmmm, I found it to be pretty slow and think the actual window size for the display site is far too big. I like it though ... sort of. I think as suggested that the current user load isn't too heavy just now. If Snap ever rebounds to its former traffic levels, I think they will likely have to rework the layout and particularly the size of the site window.

I dislike frames, so I'm probably not the best one to judge its usability. I think I'd rather see the first three sites shown in the right hand window.
