I posted this message before an i think it was removed because i linked to the auction (It isn't mine btw).

Jux2.com sold last week on ebay for just over $100,000, an almost identical site is up for sale at the moment on ebay. I would like to purchase it but do not want to waste my money, how much would you pay for something like that?

I think that $100,000 for that meta search engine is a bargain. Actually there are a lot of Venture Capital etc etc interested to this kind of businesses.

Compliments to the buyer!

Jux2 doesn't make a profit, although i would think it would be fairly easy to add sponsored listings to make it profitable. So if jux2 is worth $100,000 what is puttx worth?

I don't see the point of all these metasearchers when there are Dogpile and Webcrawler. How many can you use at one time, and if Dogpile searches everywhere - why need another engine?

...besides, nearly all meta search engines operate outside of the Terms of Use of the search feed providers. What kind of business model is built on breaking the rules of the companies which make it possible? Grow to a respectable size and get cut off. Now that's a business plan.

If the above mentioned meta search engine was following Google's Terms of Use, they would be paying tens of thousands of dollars per year to Google for using their feed, not to mention paying Yahoo and Ask Jeeves.
