Wahey, I got a PR8 link - what difference will it make?

Hi folks,

I just got a front page PR8 link which I'm kind of excited about, but what difference will it make? I'm around no.20 for 2 keywords, one has 1.7 million results and the other has 47 miilion results with the keyword in my domain name. For the 1.7 million results keyword my link is on the No.1 site and it's the only PR8 site. This site has also been getting freshed almost every day, and I'm hoping I can catch the "deep crawl" before it finishes.

Will I have to wait a month before it gets picked up, or do I have a decent chance of benefiting from the link sooner? And do you think I can go up a few places in the SERPS, or even hit the top 10?

Just the old speculation again, but any thoughts much appreciated.

4 months ago it would have been a big deal but imho toolbar PR is not weighed nearly as much as it used to be.

This PR8 site has been No.1 for their keyword and PR8 for years, and they are PR8 in the Directory as well. I agree with you completely, the toolbar is haywire, but I'm hoping I should get the same or better results than I would've before the "Dominic" update.
