having more than one link is better for your page rank on google

BUT i would be careful if all the links point to the same page on your site, as this may be considered spammy or page rank manipulation.

My observations have been that many incoming links from a single site do seem to help and it works well if the links are to different deep pages.

BUT be careful as sites have been reported as penalised for heavy cross-linking between each other.

<added> there is a link to westhost on almost every page on WebmasterWorld - it doesbn't do them any harm! </added>

Kekko, under normal circumstances, I wouldn't worry about multiple links from a site as being a problem - it's generally a good thing. The only time it seems to be problematic is when a network of sites crosslinks heavily.

If you can get multiple unique links from the site, i.e., different link text and target page, so much the better.

Edited to fix spelling of Kekko's nick... duhhh

The Dominic update also learned/remembered many members here that it is not smart to depend too much on one search engine. Having several links from another site will also bring more visitors to the site. Especially if the other site is relevant to your pages. Brett made a nice presentation [webmasterworld.com] about this.
