I have a directory site. At present I don't know what traffic my customers are getting.

I've made a routine to track their clicks and redirect to their site. That's the easy part. But I would like the link to count for them in serch engines.

Is a link like [mysite.com...]
which redirects to [theirsite.com...] (301 permanently moved) treated like a link to [theirsite.com...] (I could use javascript to do this and miss counting links for people with javascript disabled).

using the google link:myurl function, such links do seem to show up as backlinks so i imagine they would count.
