I have a client whose back links show in AV but not in Google. They have links to Yahoo, ODP, Business.com etc- but Google doesn't register them- why is that and how can I fix it? I'm afraid that its effect the PR value.

Hi shyla
Welcome to WebmasterWorld
Google will only show PR4 or higher links so check out what the PR is of the links

Thats interesting! So basically even though you submit to Yahoo and ODP you need to check the PR value of the categories before you submit? So is it possible that the cataegories your interested in in Yahoo or ODP themselves don't pull in any PR values higher than 4? What should you do?

The fact that Google doesn't show the link it's still a link and I would have thought most pages on Dmoz & Yahoo have a PR4

shyla,
Google does not show links with PR less than 4 in the output of the link: command, but they definitely do count towards your PR.

Tigger I agree, I tought that the Yahoo and Dmoz listing would have been at least a 4. I actually never thought to check the PR value for them.
Mohemmed_E- thank you I was wondering if they still counted or not.
