How do we know if our partners are still linked?

Hi, I have a question. Is their any free software or inexpensive software that will check to see if your link partner remains linked to you? It is a pain in the neck checking my link page trying to find out if my partners are still there. Any opinions are welcomed. Thanks

I guess the short answer must be no.
There are quite a few threads here about the pros and cons of the Alexa bar (search 'alexa toolbar'), where you can get information related to it's performance.
It seems to give fairly good results when I check my sites. Perfect not ;)
