Link Pages

submit form to get to links page.

I have recently seen a site which has inbound links on a reciprocal basic. However their links pages are accessed by a form submit which as I understand it most SE spiders can't follow. Would this in any way increase their site's ranking as apposed to having a regular accessed links page.

I assume the form is just to add your link to the links page. Is there not a normal link for you to view the page, without using the form?

What you where talking about sounds very much like a link farm. If it is then you realy do not want to link to it.
Placing a link to a link farm from your site could result in you being penalised.

What I meant is that from the homepage you click on a link called "links" which then submits a form and which in turn takes you to the sites links page. Apparently the purpose of this is to allow reciprocal linking companies to see their site listed on your links page and at the same time not allow the search engine to find your links page (apparently they can't follow forms) to stop the dillution of your PR by having outgoing links.

If they require you to link to then in order for them to link to you I would forgrt about it and look for another source of links.
