I've read of cross linking. Is there where I would link someone on my link list if they post a return link on their site?

So can I, put my link back banners on my sites, linking them back to my link list which has the site link on it already?

Hi Compdoctor and welcome to WW :)

What you are refering to there is known as reciprocal linking (you scratch my back and ill scratch yours kinda deal). This is an acceptable and standard practice.

I believe crossing linking is where you have many similar websites and link them all with each other (also know as interlinking).

This is stepping into a grey area and can risk a penaly from Google if done to excess.

If im wrong on this one, im sure someone else will correct me! ;)
