Not my forte, so bear with me, but as I understand it, the same dynamically generated page could have a different url each time it's generated. If so, would you see a danger in their being discounted by the search engines?

Dangerours! You can use dynamic contents with 'static' URLs such as yousite.com/go.php?where but don't generate a dynamic URLs everytime. I think the SE will simply ignore them at the end of the crawl.

Dunno if this is related to your discussion. We had URLs with session IDs so of course the URLs always changed when Google spiders came by. We ended up having duplicate identical pages in Google's cache and quickly decided to abolish session IDs and just use normal cookies.

Glengara, The answer to your question is Yes the URL's will be discounted.
I hope your SEO business is able to make some money with this knowledge. Ethical SEO is so difficult. ;)
