Hi

I hope you can help please?

Would like a piece of software that will search for pages that I can set up reciprocal links with.

All I need it to do is search for the pages and then give me the websites that have links pages. I want to email the sites personally.

Would Zeus do this please? or can you recommend another piece of software as I've heard a few bad things about Zeus.

My links pages would be hand made not created by a Zeus directory or other software.

I really would like your thoughts

Thank you
Alan

You could do this by searching for topic specific directories and emailing the site owners and requesting a link.

One thing to be very aware of though is that even although the email is written personaly some people will still see this as unsolicited email.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, searching by hand takes a awfuly long time and gets quite boring after a while. I really would like a piece of software that would do at least part of the work for me.

Thanks
Alan

hello workinghard,

Some people find it useful to punch into google "mycategory + submit URL".

You usually get all the on topic pages that offer a link submission to their site...even without reciprocating. Good way to get off the ground.

Otherwise I create a template e-mail to cut/paste/send to people, depending on how their site is laid out and how they request submissions. The trick here is, IMO, not to sound like an automated e-mail...ie insert-company-name here etc.

Otherwise you might want to look at DMOZ and all categories relevant to yours and work your way down the lists. Worth a shot.
