1.I know link farms are a bad way to go. But what about a program where you pay and your site included in a database that has over say... 500 other sites and links included in it as well? Is this just as bad as a link farm? How does this effect your link pop and rankings?
2. Reciprocal linking. Okay say I try to get relevant sites to link to mine and visa versa. How should I go about linking there site to mine? Should I simply create a links page, will that have any effect? Or should I have these sites scatered throughout my site? And what about my link to theres? What should I request of them to do with my link?
Lots of questions- I know!!
2. You should be very selective of the sites that you link to. Only link to quality sites that send you traffic. Link to them as they link to you...if they give you a good link, do the same for them.

Liane also made a very good thread about follow ups for reciprocal linkage, if I find it I will suggest it for the library.
Most clients don't want to have links to other sites on there home page or none the less at all anywhere else on their site. So how do you work around that? Any suggestions on how to get them to do reciprocal linking?

Now in my personal set of flags.
I was wrong, I thought Liane started it. She came up with brillant ideas!
(and templates too!)
Enjoy!
