have a few questions....

Hey everyone,

Well my link exchange program is not going well at all. I have been exchanging links for about a year and a half now and then about 2 to 3 months ago my link pages got deindexed and lost their pr. For the past 3 months my link pages will not get reindexed and because of this I am loosing all my good links because I am linking back on a nonindexed, zero pr page.

I thought I would start writing articles to build some links. So these are the questions I have.

How many article sites should I submit each article too?
If I submit multiple articles to one article site, would Google count links from each article or just from one?
Should I look for specific qualities of an article site? (ex. ones that do not remove the links, put nofollow's or do not index the article page)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Wes

I guess I'll be the one to state that one of the problems is following a trend after it has been beat to death (submitting to free article directories). That said (my opinion)...

>>>How many article sites should I submit each article too?

I'd find related sites who happen to publish articles that will actually give you exposure. That aid, real publishers do sometimes use the bigger article directories. They're not hard to find.

>>>If I submit multiple articles to one article site, would Google count links from each article or just from one?

IMHO, the only truly valuable links (to Google) are from the syndication of the article by true publishers.

Some related reading [google.com]...

Why stop at directories? There are likely to be many other websites that would benefit from your articles and happy to have them.

I agree with your post sugarrae.

Link exchaning, IMO, has been beaten to death as well. It is hard to find a good website to exchange links with. Most sites put their links on pages that aren't indexed or they remove your link after X amount of time hoping you don't notice. It's hard to keep up with all of it.

I think I might write a few articles and go to news sites relating to my topic. They would be more selective of what articles to post so I think mine would stand out more and have a higher effect for IBL from G's point of view.
