OK.. suppose you have $1000/month budget for some relevant text links.

Would you buy 5 PR6 & PR7 relevant links at $200/month each or would you prefer 40 PR5 relevant links at $25/month each?

cheers,

I purchased a pr 6 link for $50 and received 1 hit. The hit was from me just checking to see if it worked. Emailed the people and they said it was not the visitors but the pr value itself, which in turn would make my site, a pr5, higher in the rankings. I was only looking for targeted visitors.
Was not happy at all.

Buying Links helps you very little in terms of Business Generation.
It can surely help you in Page Rank benefit

So if you want business them do some natural Link Building and have your website naturally listed on G, Y and M

This would bring you in targeted customers and financial propspects

When you purchase text links, you are not looking for customers necessarily. I purchase links in order to get my sites and articles higher in the search results (it works). The 40 PR5 relevant links at $25/month each in my experience are better to get then the more expensive higher ranking links. It is hard to tell though. My biggest problem is I have to spend a lot of my budget just searching for sites that are interested in putting my links on them. Ideas?
