3 links in 1

does this count as 3 links or 1 link to my site?

O.K.

When people link to me they almost always use the link text and banner I supply. I offer a couple of choices so as not to have the same link text all the time and hopefully to help out on a few keywords I don't do so well on.

I have recently expanded my website to a couple of associated topics

So my site looks like www.example.com/
www.example.com/hotels/
www.example.com/restaurants/
www.example.com/holidayhomes/
Will I benefit from incorporating 2, 3 or even 4 links into my link text to each section of my site or am I on the wrong track here?

In the link it would be logical as the person may be more interested in a holiday home than a hotel and he could go straight to that section of the site.

Is this deemed o.k by google? will it do me any good? is it a stupid idea and i should just forget it?

any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you want varying link text, and yes, links deeper into your site are good.
No reason not to have multiple links in the one 'link' that I can think of, if the people linking to you will go for it.
Perhaps you want to read through the library in this forum (link at top of page) to gain a better understanding of good link strategies?

Couldn't really find an answer to this in the library. I was just wondering how google is likely to see 2 or 3 links close together going to different sections of the same website. It does seem like it would be easy to spot as SEO , especially if there were lots of em.

>>>it would be logical

In most cases, if it is logical for the user, then you should be fine, in my opinion.
