I am using article directories to get back links. So i submit iut to article directories. SO far so good. But then it only gets syndicated to junk no trafic, no PR, MFA sites.

If you're aren't doing it by hand it's probably worth it. But don't expect miracles from this type of link.

I have been searching and searching for the article sites to show up as backlinks in yahoo and google and I do not see them.. I am beginning to think that these article sites do not generate backlinks at all! Google and Y must just index these article sites but not count the outgoing links. I am not sure but this is what I suspect looking at most of the sites that have links from these sites.

Does anyone else see this too?

Well, I think you can get to the PR3 - PR4 category with articles. With say, 5-10 articles submitted to about 100 sites or so. At least that what's happened to one of my sites. And I did not have any other backlinks.

Give Google about a month to start indexing your articles. Don't search wit the link: command but search for sites containing your domain name or something that will help you identify your articles.
