Hi All

Recently about 6 weeks ago I bought a very expensive ROS authoritative link on a very popular news site. Its given me thousands of backlinks.

However my site is about 6 months old and I have not seen much in regards to the search engines because I am still in the sandbox.

Should I remove this link or should I wait and ride it out?

I must mention this link is very difficult to get. There is a waiting list for it.

Please Advise.

Thanks!

Do you make your money back from the link (from traffic)?

Actually no I am not making money back from it. It was done for other reasons like link popularity and pagerank.

I believe this authoritative link will accomplish that. At the moment its hard to determine the success rate because I am still in the sandbox.

So basically I am throwing my money away until I am let loose.

It's all about R.O.I, I doubt you will ever get R.O.I from this. I personally do not buy text links.

From the sounds of this, you are doing more harm than good. I hope the red flags are not raised, and you do not remain berried in the so called sandbox.

I do not recommend ROS links. I am an active link buyer for dozens of clients and find no problem with it. It's just another way to "reciprocate" for a link. Buying a homepage link is, in my opinion, more effective than buying a ROS link. Generally, a ROS link has no traffic value because it is placed in the footer or some obscure place, whereas if you purchase a homepage link, you should get a prominently place link. This adds search engine benefit and potential traffic benefits. I think you have to take an ROI mindest when purchasing links.
