Webmasters Never Get Around to Putting Up Your Link?

Approaching webmasters for link exchanges is mundane and time-consuming enough, don't ya think? For every one that agrees, 10 ignore the request. I'm not really complaining about that - I understand it. What I HATE is when they respond by saying something like: "Oh hey, sure, I'll post your return link in the next day or two." Uh huh, yeah, that'll happen. In almost every instance, after I've checked a few days later (or even 2 weeks later, which is my limit on leaving up links for exchanges), they haven't posted the return link. It's a scam to make less-than-diligent webmasters move on and forget to check. DON'T FRIGGIN' PUT UP A PAGE ON YOUR SITE THAT INVITES EXCHANGES AND THEN PULL THIS NONSENSE!

OK, ranting over. Carry on, troopers.

Might try hitting up webmasters with PR 3 or less, especially the ones that don't rank for anything because they're permanently sandboxed. So, you're not going to find those sites in Google, I guess.

Easily sorted - remove their link, and send them a mail telling them that. If they are serious, they'll soon add your link, and if not, you'll know either way

Works every time!

Even better, automate the whole process. Add their link and get the database to send a mail after x amount of days if the link checker does not find the link.
