Doing a casual round of checking IBL is one of the things on weekly website maintenance agenda for our site.

Today I found that one of the sites that we exchange links with just gained a twin sister. The main site is duplicated in such way that all content is identical with the second site but all links on that site point to the man site. To my best knowledge this would be considered "Duplicate Content". Bouth sites are registered to the same company - Identical WHOIS.

My question is should I continue to exchange links with the main website or drop it?

Thanks.

So are you saying they created a doorway mirror? Meaning that they duplicated their home page on the new domain (and it is the only page on there) and then linked every link on that page to their old domain?

If this is the only site you are exchanging links with, then I would say get more links. if you are already exchanging links with a lot of other sites, then this indiscretion by this one linking partner will probably not affect you in any way.

The worst thing that can happen is that the link from that site will be disregarded and not help you at all, but it is not going to negatively affect you.
