hi all. i have a client with an established website, www.domain.com. they are interested in adding 4 sub domains.

(all topics that relate to domain.com)

they would like to link all 4 subdomains together and that should be fine, i'm just worried that linking them all back to www.domain.com is not recommended, correct? another words, closing the link chain.

thank you for your feedback.

It works well and it is worth also for the page rank calculations!
No errors,no penalties.

Which one would be more value on this example below?

Theorically the second, since keyword/s in main domain name has more weight to the SE "eyes" than in a subdirectory.

thanks! actually, topicA,B,C,D are all being built as directories, not content pages. so, it sounds like this should work well. any other comments or feedback is appreciated.

I am new to forums. This is something I have done maybe two times in 7 years. But....a person just hired me to submit pages manually to four top search engines.
He has over 200 domains and is in the process of getting 300 more.
We were trying to figure out the best way to get to the top of the search eninges. If we put links of every domain on each page, will that hurt or help? Should each link be named the same or different. There would be like 500 links on each page when all domains are finsished. Is this wise? Should each link be named something differnt? Like, lets say you offering mugs. Should one lnk say, Mugs here and the next way personalized mugs and the next one say dye sub mugs, or should you just put the domain in as the text link lke domain.com instead of text describing domain?

Hi raven2005 and welcome to Webmasterworld.

I suggest that you search for your questions on this forum and read thorougly the great advices and comments offered here. I think you should spend some time reading first and then post a new topic with your questions.
