Hello,

While checking my logs, I noticed that my Florida city guide site was receiving a lot of links from an intricate ring of 25 escort sites.

All but one of the escort sites links to: widgetflorida.com, which redirects to my site.

One of the escort sites links to widgetflorida.net; but this site does not redirect, it frames my site so that people think that they are browsing my site, but they are still at the URL of the escort site.

Should I be concerned? Should I contact them and ask them to stop? What is the reason for them doing this?

Most of the escort sites have decent Page Rank, and this month they have sent me about 600 visitors.

Can link farms or band neighborhoods have decent Page Rank?

My site has good Page Rank and is considered an authority for my region, but can their linking and framing mess up my ranking?

BTW, I am a longtime lurker and first time poster. I attended the Vegas Pub Con. Thanks martinibuster for your session on how to get quality links.

Look forward to see you all in New Orleans.

I've asked this before when I was getting hits from a Paris escort service and was assured it really cant affect you, though i thought i read somewhere in this forum that there is a 301 redirect technique that they can use to waffle you somehow.
If you use htaccess you have a few options as far as blocking or redirecting that traffic.

Browselot, if you are concerned about the framing and any consequent effect on your site reputation, you can always search for a framebuster script (javascript which has the effect of opening your page and not allowing it to be framed).
