Which way should they go?

Hi Guys!

If I have 200 possible inbound links and my site on DREAMS has many sub areas such as SCARY DREAMS, HAPPY DREAMS etc. am I better to get the possible inbound links directed to the INDEX of my site or a SUB PAGE?

If somone search for SCARY DREAMS, will that search rank higher with heaps of inbound links to that SUB PAGE or better if the INDEX page of the site had more inbound links?

Any help or discussion is appreciated.

Don't you mean SCARY WIDGETS? :)

Often times, it is difficult to get someone to deeplink. But if you can, I think that strategy can be very effective since usually those are more likely to rank well in the SERPS for narrower search phrases. Plus, those are typically your money pages, or closer in the hierarchy to your money pages.

I have one doubt that is: suppose any site is getting good ranking and if we want to change the server then any problen can be occur or what? If we will completly change the design structure and server then?

Any one did like this then tell me about this.

JamesRock, I agree with diamondgrl. Apart from SERPs, good linking strategy also delivers real traffic. If those are important pages, you can safely use them for inbound links.

Have them deep link. You'll come up under more search terms.

In case you change your technology in the future, have deep links go to directories: /dreams/scary/really/ rather than to /scary/index.html so if you switch to .shtml or .php the links will all still work.
