Interlinking Domains on Dedicated Server

Wanted to ask your opinion. If you are on a dedicated server with different IP's that run numerically, is it safe for the domains to link to one main site?

It would be a one way link so the main site would not link back.

One example of this is where we have a domain and rather than just forward it to a page on the main site, I would like to create just one page that points people to that page.

Initially I was going to create a site devoted to a specific subject but as the main domain already features it I was worried about dupe content etc.

So is a one way link between sites on the same dedicated server advisable?

This shouldn't be a problem. Webhosting/design companies do this all the time (i.e. site design by company XYZ). In fact I do it and am ranked high for some relatively noncompetitive terms.
