Well, I'm getting quite overwhelmed here. I've launched a new site (new domain) so the PR is still 0. I have a network of 5 or 6 other sites that have PR of 3-5 range. I understanding link development is a lot of work, and i'm willing to put in a lot of work. BUT, I'm overwhelmed at where to start? Is there an outline/guideline of where to start?

Do I start with Link Exchanges, manual submissions, free for all submissions to whereever I can find? I've read SOOOO much in the past 2 days regarding this and my mind just keeps going in circles. Can someone give me some direct guidance on where to begin? I need to start a link campaign but don't want to start down the wrong path.

Thanks!

Start with your network of sites. Get a links page and put jusy a few links to each.

Then no other way apart from hard work. Yu may want to automate as much as possible.

You can do nothing without page rank so that would be the first thing to take care of.Then no other way apart from hard work.

Tip:

when doing reciprocal links only link to ontopic websites.

I find this is VERY important. To back this up ive got a website that had 5 or so offtopic links - I removed them all and sure enough my rankings went up in the next update. It couldnt have been anything else as i dont change much on the site.

Getting links is about the hardest thing to do in SEO, but it is also the single most rewarding thing you can do.

He's right. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Spend time writing custom emails to potential link partners. Especially the good ones. The dirtier your hands, the more successful webmaster you will be.
