Hi,

I have been reading some of the topics with great interest and I wonder someone could help me with some more information.

Is the Links Visible or Hidden on the page? As some people might not want other links to be shown there page to divert traffic away from there site.

Some other people mention they have 100 links or even 9000 links where do they put them?

hidden links may cause penality. You can create pages for links linked from home page.

If you're worried about people surfing away from your website, you can always set the link to open in a new page. That way you'll maintain a browser open with your website in it.

<a href="foo.com" target="_blank">Visit Foo</a>

As for placement of your links page, that's a personal matter.

I've had an easy time doing recips because my links pages are relevant to the content and sends good traffic to my partners. Naturally, people want to be on those pages because they rank well in the search engines. They rank well on the search engines partly because I link to the recip pages from every page of the website.

Some people like to link to the recip page only from the home page. And others also like to cram a ton of link partners into their recip pages.

I believe those kinds of arrangements may scare away the better quality link partners, sticking you with equally stingy link partners, whose link pages may not be as... desirable.

Of course, certain sectors have trouble acquiring decent link partners... which takes us into a different discussion.
