It is great to have people find your link pages and directories, and request the link exchange themselves, instead of trying to find people yourself.

We all know that one way to find these directories and link pages is to input into Google (or others) search strings like "Add site" keyword, "suggest a site" keyword, "submit url" keyword, etc.

Do you optimize your pages so people willing to exchange links can find you easily?
Could this hurt with the search engines?

Usually link pages only have one "Add Link", "Submit Site", etc.
Would it be a good idea to add a few more, without running into problems?

No, I get enough of the crappy link exchange suggestions as is. Trying to avoid them. ;)
