Should I bother emailing dmoz clones, can they hand modify their own little directory they get from DMOZ?

A lot of them can edit their own directory. I know I can hand-edit my dmoz clone.
It really depends on how they populate the data, though. Some sites just get the data every month and overwrite the database with the new one--so any hand editing they did would be worthless.
