I know for a while there people were achieving #1 spots with blog spam. What about legitimate blog links? Are they still worthwhile? I've been researching blogs quite a bit lateley and the posiblilities for a qualitive site to achieve hundreds of inbound links seem quite good!
How do you develop blog strategy?

Yes, "legitimate" blog links still work fine. It's really the same as with any other kind of website: Create good content and relevant links.
A belated welcome to Webmaster World, Illah.

They work fine - they tend to be easier to aquire, as well. they are also site-wide links, often.

You can setup blogs for free on a variety of services - a quick Google search will get you more than you need. As for the links, they Blog-o-verse is more people driven, so links tend to be because someone likes your blog rather than because of a reciprocal type of thing.
I also read that some blogs are syndicated as RSS. Anyone have any info on this?
