Intensive linking in few sites strategy

If that works: Wow!

Please I'd appreciate the most experienced opinions and experiences about this topic:

What about if instead getting 1 link from each site to yours, having thousands of sites linking to you, you get 10 sites that intensively links to you.

Lets assume you have actually 100 backlinks proceding from 100 different sites.
Now the strategy would be: get 10 sites disposed to giveyou 10 links each to your site.

As follows:
Site 1) linktoyourpage1.htm ; linktoyourpage2.htm and so on

I think that would be great. But is there any problem with that?

What happens if you put 10 links to them (to different pages of the same domain ie: mylinkpartner.com/index.htm ; mylinkpartner.com/category1.htm ; and so on

Any danger of penalties there?
Does that actually work?

You need links from different sites, many from the same site will not do.

This is a good question. If you're going to receive a great many links, at least vary the landing pages so that some deep pages get hit.

Something to consider
Web designers routinely have hundreds or even thousands of pages with the "powered by" link in them but they also aren't the industry with the highest PR.

Anybody else have a thought on this?

Martinibuster, I would think that PR accolade would go to "click here".

something to consider is link text though, so maybe there is a 'dampener' on pr passing from multiple links between sites but is there still a value in different link texts?

logically there should be, unless the filter is applied to this too.

I have some links from sites that would only give me a link on every page exactly the same. There site is huge. What I do is I change the link every so often so I end up with several different links because g does not update the whole site that often. I have several links on each page. Every time I add one it helps that term go up. It does not hurt. It is really nice for terms that are not that competitive and you are number 4 or 5. Sometimes that is all you need.

I don't think you get penalized. But I think that links from 100 sites are worth more than links from 10 sites for obvious reasons.

At least this is the way I would engineer that if I worked for Google.

It would probably help the page rank of those individual pages, but i dont think it would be equiv to having 100 sites link to your home page, in the end its still only 10 sites linking to your home page.

2 cents :)
