Nothing if it doesn't pass PR and it's user base is unrelated enough to provide no value other than PR.

For the other side of the argument:

If the link is in a prominent position, and you offer a product that is highly targeted to the site's content, you can do extremely well. Not to mention you could get a great PR boost - up to PR 7 likely.

However, I get the feeling that the abovementioned situation is much closer to the one you are in.

About 18-24 months ago SearchKing was openly advertising and selling PR. The site suddenly dropped to PR0, a lawsuit ensued... It's pretty clear Google does not like people selling PR, although they seem to have no problem with people selling advertising.

It's unlikely you'll find much frank and open discussion about how much a link from a PR8 page is worth. Consider the link in terms of typical advertising costs and the ROI you can expect from it.
