How did someone find a hidden links page?

How did someone find my unused links page?

I just received an enquiry from a draft link page that I accidently uploaded to my site. The page is not linked to from any other page.

I created my link enquiry form about a year ago and then decided it was a bad idea (I prefer the natural approach instead). I didn't think the page was uploaded to the site until I got an enquiry from it today. (I have just deleted the link enquiry page).

How did someone find my link page?
What are they using to view a page that has no links to it? (there is an index.html in that folder)

"g" probably indexed it in spite of what they say about needing to get there from elsewhere...I've just taken down a developement area from one server because they kept crawling the damn thing even tho it wasnt linked to ...

Seems that index.html or anything .html or .htm just sucks them in like a vacuum...even when hidden in a dev folder
