Why some pages are not included in link:example.com?

Hello

I compared my site with the competitor on Google. I found it has a few more incoming links to his site and some of them where from open catalogues.

I added my site, it is listed under the same category, I look at the cache of that page and see my site. But when I check back the links to my page they are not shown.

Could anyone explain me why? Does it only take more time?

With regards

What PR do you have on your site, do you see any backlinks at all from your site.

I think if you have a PR of 3 or below backlinks will not be shown.

My site has a PR4.

But the site where I see the other links to my site have a PR of 2-3, do they count or show?

Google only return a "sample" of links - they have got very stingy with the number in the sample, so its pretty meaningless now.

Hey Guys, just a reminder. From the Charter [webmasterworld.com] for this forum, "Questions about links as used by specific search engines for ranking purposes should be put in that search engine's forum."

Post your Google questions in the Google News [webmasterworld.com] forum! OK? ;)
