Found a site that facilitates the auctioning of links.

Lots of PR7 / PR6 for like $500+ bux a month.

Anyone buying from these guys?

Crazy.

I think I know who you are talking about, but just in case please private message me with the url of the people selling links.

I know some people that pay for links, but I myself do not do so. They tell me they could not rank well enough in their competitive areas without all the links.

Personally I think both link buyers and sellers should be manually penalized and banned by the search engines.

Here's a great thread:

Still, it's crazy. My thoughts are that Google could go undercover and find out who sells the link and then take them out of the index.

Still, if you're PR0 you've got nothing to lose.

there are many major sites selling links. they are not hard to find. i do not think google wants to remove them from their index. it's a game of chicken - google would lose a lot of relevency in some areas if it dumped all sites selling links.

It could take out their ability to transfer PR though.

Anyone spending $500+ bux a month to buy links for a site with a PR0 is already lost.

OK for the picky, I guess if you've got PRn where N is a low, easily attainable PR then you've got nothing to lose.
