Well, I was out looking for links, and I came across a Iowa State University page that, while not directly applicable for me, was lacking a relevant resource I thought they would want to list.

So, I emailed them with the suggestion to link to that site, one that I have no direct affiliation with.

Tonight I get an email that they had added that link. They thanked me for providing it...and, they are linking to my main site (a deep link to boot).

As Brett says in his guidlines, don't worry if they don't want to link to you now... they will, they will.

Quality content still provides benefits.

On the side, I noticed tonight that Google has updated my PR to a 6. Not in the big leagues I suppose, but the highest PR in my niche.

It looks like '04 will be a very good year. Thanks to all at WW for the great lessons.

We have some great content sites and we have been astonished by some people who have linked to us, one of the official olympic sites even did it on their front page.

PR 6 is still above average (evidenced by WM World's PR 6). We just got back to PR 6 for one day then dropped back to 5 today....Weird.

For perspective, this is a 1000000 unique a day site (<5000 on Alexa)
