I am a web developer and have a client who has PR of 7 on all of their pages.

My question:

If I added a link from their site to mine.. that is my web development contracting site.. I'd get PR from this right? And if so, could I then add a link from my web development site to some of my personal sites and have them inherit PR?

Yes, and yes. If the client is agreeable, and it's seldom that they aren't. It's pretty much industry standard procedure.

Yes. It's always good. Not only would you get PR but client references as well. What you say is Link Building and go for it if your client approves. If you get a single link from a PR7, that would most probably get you PR6 or PR5 for your website.
