Message Too Old, No Replies

Is there anything bad with a LOT of links in your linkspage?

I got many links back so I must put links too...

I got many links back so I must put links to those sites too...
But my links page is growing... so I wonder if there is anything wrong or problematic with that?

Is there some 200 links and growing...

Should I split it into several pages?
Does affect in any negative way to have many links to other sites in the same page?

First, don't have a linkspage. Second, if you have recip links, organize them is some topical related pages. Third, the harm done is for your link partners mostly.

Googles webmaster pages advice you to put no more than 100 links on any page.

Call the page(s) something other than links. Call it info, data, fred, betty, wilma, etc. Just don't call it links or linkspage.

Put them all in themed pages and people will be much keaner to do deals with you. Plus make sure they have names that won't get you a PR penalty.

So having themed pages with under 100 links would be ok right?

But does hurt to be linked for other sites with a bunch of links in the same page (most than 100)?

I have a site linking from mine from a php page ...
Does that help to my site? Is it dangerous in any way?

Themed and less than 100 with good descriptions is even useful to a customer....

Other sites linking to you who have more than 100 probably gives you little benefit

Some php's work some don't.....

I heard it does not help if your link is added to a page with over 30 links on it, especially if it is a low or fairly low PR. Is that true? Does Yahoo care about link popularity...my sites recently moved up in rankings for Google and AOL due to an increase in my link popularity, but not Yahoo.

Doug...
What kind of name would give you a PR penalty?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Many pages with lots of links are becoming PR0's watch them.

Also the power of a link from a page with lots of links is greatly reduced.

I wouldn't care too much if PR penalty aplies to my links page... but I'm afraid of some negative influence on my domain PR...

Could that be possible?

You may not see a direct effect of the PR0'ing of your links page on other pages. However, as more link pages are PR0'ed, your inbound links could deteriorate to being worthless.
