Why is is so many top 10 results in google have no PR rank.

None of my sites have a PR rank according to googles bar.

Am i right in thinking you have to be included at
DMOZ (something ive never neen able to do) to have a google rank?.

TIA

1. The Google toolbar doesn't appear to be completely accurate at the moment with respect to PR.

2. Hitting the top 10 isn't just about PR ... on page factors count too.

No. A few links from other sites will help. DMOZ is just another link (a pretty useful one, though).

Andy...took my site 4 months before PR showed up. I was still placed in the SERPs pretty well. And no, you do not need a DMOZ link to have a good PR. Let's put it this way. I don't have a DMOZ link, a Google directory link or a Yahoo directory link and I am still on my way to a PR6. There are a lot of other good quality sites out there that you can partner up with :)

Yes. You are right. It's not JUST the PR that helps. PR helps pretty well, but if you do not have it or google is currently showing incorrect, it does not mean you can't be #1.
