Organizing Links between sites

What are some ideas for organizing links? What to do if you have a lot of sites at your disposal, but aren't quite sure how to link them together. All of my sites have unique content, some are the same widgets, some aren't.

Are there any methods they use that they would be willing to share?

I appreciate the feedback,

Cheers!

Take one site and have all point to it, and point this to another... (a directory) or a hub of outbounds. Then develop unique links to all.

Pyramid structures are used, too. Regardless of structure, ysually the objective is to have one or two sites that are the main focal point of the other sites and receive the maximum benefit.

Why are people so against putting links to each site on each site.

i.e. if you have 5 websites. - having a link to all 5 sites on each site, creating 25 links.

Because so many people have done this and lost all sites from the index. Look up cross linking on this forum.

Leeclark

Welcome

deep links means, read this slowly:)

a page on level 3 of site A talking about London links to the page on level 3 of site B that talks about London hotels. The link text is "London hotels" if that is what the page is tuned for.

As you can imagine on big sites this is a lot of work, but it can give you the edge, unless you are competing with some people on this board.

I agree with dougs! That's the best suggestion for you here. :-)
