First of all, I didn't post this at the opera.com forums because I couldn't get in.
How do I get the "transfers" to not pop back up on top every time I right click and select "quick download" or when I click "save" after selecting "save target as"? I like knowing how far along how far along files I'm downloading are, but when there's several files I wana download, the "transfers" window popping up on top every time I start to save something obnoxiously slows me down.
Also, how to I get the password manager to remember my username and password and automatically sign me in *every* time I re-visit a site where I gotta enter my username and password?
Examples would be when I go to www.aol.com, click on the mail icon & enter my username & password to see my mail (no aol software installed-isp is comcast), Yahoo Gropups when I click "Post" or a link in a "file uploaded to..." message and it asks me to re-enter my password and when I sign in to Opera Browser Forums at opera.com
I am the *only* one who ever uses this comp, so I'm not concerned about security.

Tranfers: If you have the transfer window open (if not, open it with ctrl-alt-T on Windows, cmd-opt-T on Mac), there should be a "View" button at the top of the window. Click it, and one of the options is "Show transfers when starting downloads". Uncheck that to keep the window from popping up with every download.
Wand: Go to preferences, Security. The first checkbox should be "Eenable Wand".
I don't have any experience with the Opera forums, so I can't help you there.

Sorry 'bout that. I should have deleted that paragraph before posting here. I really meant it for the Opera forums if I maaged to get in there (which I did)
