Opera 5.1 To Include Flash!

Well, the Flash supporters got another boost today, with Opera and Flash announcing that the next version of Opera (5.1) will include an embedded Flash plugin.

no way... just because the world's best browser has become lax and dissolute doesn't mean Brett has to! ;)

Er, will the minimal non-Java download become a non-Java, non-Flash, or do I have to start downloading and installing yet another copy of Flash on my system?

I'm using Opera 5 and it supports flash fine, i'm pretty sure 4 did aswell. Doesnt it use netscape's plugins, if you dont have netscape & flash (or it cant find it) then maybe thats why it doesnt seem to have flash.

I guess this means they wont have to rely on netscape plugins any more.

I think it is embedded in the install this time Gmiller. They say it is about 350k total. The current minimal size is 2,339,904.
