Opera hanging on "Request queued"

Sometimes when I'm downloading a web page with Opera, the status bar will say "Request queued for sending to domain.com" and everything just hangs.

A check on the modem icon show no packets in or out - but no action either. Does anyone know what this experience is all about?

I don't know the cause, but I get the same behavior -- so you are not alone. Though I usually get a "could not contact host" message.

Usually the same URL cut'n'pasted into IE works, so the problem isn't the remote server but Opera's ability to talk to it.

Though I have had both (and Moz) lock up in the same way. When that happens, a logon/logoff usually cures the problem. But sometimes it takes a reboot.

So I am interested in answers too.

Have been getting the same and also with Netscape...

tends to happen when testing sites offline then trying to access online sites, once connected

all I do is close browser and re-open online, no reboot required
