does opera 7 support pipelined request?

it seems not, cos it's much slower than IE6
i see icons shown 1 by 1 in opera7
but they just "jump" out of the screen in IE6

on a cached html+images
ie6 take 3 seconds to reload when i press F5
and opera7 takes 12 seconds

I see a very fast Opera in most situations, unless I've been off using another browser or app. In terms of HTTP 1.1 pipelining support, that's supposed to be in there since way back -- at least version 3.7.

Speed can also depend on what other software is open. Opera plays very nice with resources and sometimes needs extra time to swap stuff back from the hard drive.
