Yahoo Inc. and Telemundo announced plans to combine their U.S. Spanish-language websites Wednesday, a move they hope will help capture a larger part of a rapidly expanding Latino online audience.
The new site, Telemundo.yahoo.com, will blend Yahoo's en Espaņol's e-mail, search and music services with access to content from the juicy telenovelas and entertainment that attract Telemundo.com's audience.
This is a major integration of content and Yahoo is combining with the leading Hispanic portal. That's pretty big webmaster news for those that target these markets.

Yahoo does not have Hispanic roots - Telemundo does although the roots are mainly Puerto Rican.
But Telemundo is much smaller than Univision - the leader in TV/Radio/Internet/Music for the Hispanic market. So I think Yahoo and Telemundo needed each other.
