Is there anyway to be able to track clicks within an adserver (php ads new, ad cycle, etc.)?

Not directly from the ad server, but you can with a 'click logger', a bit of javascript that sniffs out the clicks to the ad's iframe. There are several scripts available for AdSense (both free and commercial). Also, check out Shawn Hogan's blog for one that works for both programs by feeding data to Google Analytics.

PS None of these scripts work perfectly due to browser-specific quirks.

PPS Some people worry that these scripts violate the programs' terms of service. Click loggers do not modify any ad code, and they work passively. YMMV, IANAL, ETC.

Thanks for the tip. Can you PM me the URL? Never heard of Shawn Hogan.

Shawn's does not work with Firefox, so you will be missing a bit of stats while using his. There isn't a script yet that I've seen (SEO Book claimed to have one, but it doesn't work.. I also tried coding onto the one they provide, but it still didn't work) that works with Firefox.

Sure.

For others, see Jen's blog for the story/link or simply Google:

Thanks. I will attempt to implement the script on my sites.
